My classes this August begin with a one-day workshop for past students.
Then we have a four-day workshop for new as well as past students. I teach the four-day with the participation of certified DM therapist, Clive Taylor. In this way we combine everyone for lecture and discussion and go to separate rooms for the practical work.
Deep Massage and The Memory Palace of Bones - August 2nd
Pre-requisites - for this one-day you will need to have studied Deep Massage with David previously or have trained in Zero Balancing.

In this one-day class we will explore what is expressed in the bones and their associated soft tissues. What are the messages both personal and ancient within our bones and joints? Through touch fulcrums, deep massage, and awareness we will explore:
The legs
The ribs
The sternum
The cranium
Drawing from material in my new book, "The Memory Palace of Bones", we will explore embodiment. What are the dreams, emotions, memories, earthly and heavenly lessons and destinies which the bones convey for and through us? And of course the most direct way we can ask these questions and find deep answers is through touch and the awareness it brings. So we will be exploring especially through bodywork contacting the bone and their associated soft tissues.

Deep Massage: The Lauterstein Method Levels 1, 2 and 3 with David Lauterstein - August 3-6
'Deep Massage: The Lauterstein Method' is a way of engaging directly and deeply with your clients’ myofascial and nervous systems to facilitate profound relief from pain and tension.
Unlike many massage methods which focus primarily on manipulating soft tissue, working from the outside in, 'Deep Massage: The Lauterstein Method' starts with the client’s nervous system, allowing the person to ‘let go’ from the inside out. Muscles only let go if the nervous system tells them to!
This 4 day workshop covers either 4 days at Level I (for those new to the method) or 4 days at either Level II or III for those who want to explore deeper and or/are doing the full practitioner training.
You will be taught both in your own group level and alongside others.
Details for each workshop as follows:
Level I
You will learn a full body protocol covering:
· Over 20 techniques to work effectively with the autonomic nervous system and the vagus nerve
· How to use ‘fulcrums’ to work with the myofascia, bones, and nerves as living tissue
· Observation skills that focus on the nervous system (aka energy) that will inform your treatment
· The role of the therapists’ ‘psycho-mechanics’ (intent and awareness) alongside body mechanics
· How to optimise the ‘seven dimensions’ of touch – contact, movement, breath, alignment, heart, insight, and inspiration
Required course textbook: “The Deep Massage Book: How To Combine Structure and Energy in Bodywork” by David Lauterstein, (£36, available from BCMB and online)
Pre-requisites: Qualified bodyworker or other health professional with prior training in soft tissue or skeletal manipulation.
Level II
We will cover:
· a deepening of techniques learned in level I
· how to work with the deepest muscle layers
· applying the techniques to working with clients in side-lying positions.
Prerequisites: Successful completion of Level I
Level III
We will cover:
· Additional fulcrums for working seated
· Fulcrums to work with the feet
· In-depth exploration of the psychological aspects of Deep Massage.
· Individualised instruction in your own unique quality of touch
